Youth and Children's Ministry

Safety First
At Saginaw First, our goal is to minister to the whole person and the whole family. In the interest of safety, all of our youth and nursery workers must consent to a background check before working with children. Our church is guided by the belief that unless a family feels safe, it's difficult to feel free to worship.
Nursery Care
Nursery for infants, and a separate nursery geared toward walkers and toddlers up to age 4 is provided during the Sunday School and Worship hours. There's a lot to explore in our nursery and play areas, and many kind volunteers who will treat your child with warmth and compassion.

Handmade "Busy Bags" for little ones!
Essential to worship is community across the body of Christ, regardless of age. To that end, a couple of our ladies--Ida Hartner and Deb Nehmer--put together these busy bags, which are handmade and filled with activities and crayons and color pages. Feel free to check one out for your little one before or during worship! They're available in the narthex area at the back of the sanctuary. |
Sunday School (10am-10:45am)
Children of all ages will find exciting lessons and opportunities to explore and grow in the faith. Sunday school begins at 10am. Spark Midway through Sunday worship, just before prayer, little ones ages 4 to 10 are dismissed to go with their teacher for Spark. Spark builds on the Scripture lessons shared in corporate worship with age appropriate reflections and discussion and activities meant to encourage your child's sense of wonder and love for God. Spark is held in "Kids' Corner," which is located just off the sanctuary in the fellowship hall. Parents can meet their child there immediately following service. |
